The Indiana Pacers have their backs against the wall.
They’re now down 0-3 in the series, and not even jumping to a double-digit lead at home was enough for them to get over the hump vs. the Boston Celtics.
Rick Carlisle’s team just suffered it’s first home loss in months, and they’re now one loss away from getting their vacation started.
To add insult to injury — literally — they might be forced to be without their best player for the remainder of the series.

According to a report by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers are going to err on the side of caution with Tyrese Haliburton’s hamstring injury.
Talking to Malika Andrews on NBA on ESPN, Wojnarowski revealed that Haliburton was dealing with an injury on the same hamstring that cost him to miss time earlier in the season, adding that the team didn’t want to rush him back to the floor.
If that wasn’t enough, Haliburton is going to be a part of Team USA in the upcoming Olympics, which is only more reason to be cautious and allow him to heal.
Haliburton is just 24 years old and is clearly the building block and cornerstone of the Pacers’ project, and with them down 0-3 in the series, it doesn’t make any sense to risk further injury by sending him out there again this season.
