The Golden State Warriors were at home on Monday as they faced off against the Houston Rockets in Game 4 of their first round series.

Golden State entered the game looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead after their Game 3 victory and that is exactly what they were able to do.

The Warriors started off Monday’s game hot, jumping out to a quick lead and ending the first quarter with a two-point advantage.

Houston then stormed back in the second quarter, taking a seven-point lead into halftime.

Of course, the first half was a heated one between the two sides as multiple skirmishes broke out and multiple technical fouls were issued, including one on both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Things calmed down in the second half between the two sides but the intensity was still there as the Warriors headed into the fourth quarter with a two-point lead.

The game was then a back-and-forth one in the fourth quarter and ended with clutch free throws by Jimmy Butler and an excellent defensive stand by Green to seal the win for Golden State.

Butler led the way for the Warriors despite dealing with an injury as he recorded 27 points, five rebounds and six assists.

Brandin Podziemski added 26 points, five rebounds and five assists of his own while Curry dropped 17 points and Buddy Hield scored 15.

After the game, the Warriors posted a loud two-word statement on social media. “DUBS WIN,” Golden State posted on X after their Game 4 victory over Houston.

That is exactly what the Warriors did as they now take a commanding 3-1 series lead heading into Game 5 on Wednesday.

Of course, Golden State took advantage of their home court in Game 3 and 4 to give them the series lead and they will now look to advance to the second round of the playoffs on Wednesday in Houston in Game 5.
