Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tyra Wilson, subject to FA approval.
The 17-year-old brings energy, creativity, and experience in the midfield, having played a part in Bristol Rovers’ campaign at tier four last season. Wilson’s dynamic style of play and qualities have earned her plaudits from Richard Wood, Swindon Town’s manager, and she now makes the move to Swindon looking to take the next step in her career.
Wilson, who brings her international experience from playing with the Scotland National Team, to the club. The young midfielder has also developed her skills through stints at the Bristol City and Oxford United academies.
Speaking on her move, Wilson said: “I feel so grateful to be able to continue my football journey at Swindon Town, it’s my hometown and where my football journey began, so I’m really pleased to be back. After gaining tier four experience last season, I knew that I wanted to remain at this level.”
“I’ve always followed Swindon Town and know they play at a high level, and really wanted to be a part of it. Rich has been so supportive in this journey, we’ve had open and honest communication about his vision for me for this season, I’ve been made to feel really welcome by all staff and the team, and can’t wait to get started.”
Swindon Town Women’s manager, Richard Wood, added: “I am delighted to sign Tyra, a standout talent recently selected for the Scotland U19 squad. Her exceptional technical ability and 1v1 prowess are outstanding.”

Tyra Wilson will be available for selection as the team continues its preseason preparations, with fans expected to get their first look at the new signing in action during the upcoming friendly against Loughborough Lightning.
