Rotherham United have announced the signing of midfielder Dru Yearwood.
He joins the Yorkshire club on a free transfer following a successful recent trial.
The 25-year-old began his career with Southend United, making over 50 appearances across two seasons. He moved to Brentford in 2019 but featured only twice before departing for New York Red Bulls in 2020, where he made nearly 90 appearances over four years.
He joined Nashville SC in 2023 but had been without a club since 2024.
Manager Matt Hamshaw spoke on the move: “Dru’s a great character. He’s just proving his fitness a little bit to me. He’s done really well so far.”
“He’s impressed me in the practice games, the counter-pressing stuff, and the one-v-one and two-v-two work we’ve done.”
He has signed an initial one-year deal.
