THREE Brazilian clubs are reportedly interested in signing Saints defender Welington amid his limited minutes for the English side.
The 25 year old left-back joined up with Saints on a free transfer in January 2025, and has a deal until at least 2027 with an option for a further year.
However, he has made only 17 Championship appearances this season, with Ryan Manning holding down his position through his strong performances.
He could start for Tonda Eckert in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Man City, with Manning suspended for already accumulating two yellow cards.
Brazilian publication Bolavip claim Flamengo, Palmeiras and Internacional are interested in signing Welington, who came through at São Paulo.
Former Brazil youth international Welington played 164 matches for São Paulo before he penned a pre-contract agreement with Saints in July 2024.
Although Welington has played well in his limited appearances for Saints, the report suggests that he could be traded before his contract is up.
