November 1 has come and gone, and over 170 players are now free agents, available to sign on with rival clubs for 2027 and beyond.

Today, former Broncos, now Dolphins, outside back Selwyn Cobbo.
An Origin-experienced player who can slot in at fullback, wing or centre, Cobbo would add plenty to any side if he can get back to his best, and likely wouldn’t break the bank.
Will he be interested in leaving Queensland, and can he get back to that level?
They are the questions a lot of clubs must be asking, but the ones who should be making a play seem obvious.

The Roosters are very up in the air about where they will sit for 2027 at this stage.
It appears James Tedesco is likely to play on, and even if he doesn’t, they have recently signed Cody Ramsey from the Dragons, and have youngster Rex Bassingthwaighte in their system, who Tedesco has earmarked as his long-term successor.
But it’s not just fullback where the Roosters might be interested.
Daniel Tupou could well hang up the boots at the end of 2026, leaving them potentially wingerless. Junior Tupou and Junior Pauga are signed, but the jury is out on their role in Trent Robinson’s side.
Billy Smith and Robert Toia are, at this stage, the walk-up centres, but Smith’s injury history will also alarm the Roosters.
An interesting watch too is the fact the Roosters could appeal to Cobbo as a potential club to turn things around for him.
