Trail Blazers Get Destroyed in Win Prediction for 2023-24 - Blazer's Edge

The Portland Trail Blazers worked out six NBA prospects on Thursday, with the start of the June 26-27 draft less than two weeks away.

On hand were two prospects the Blazers could target in the first round.

The Blazers have the No. 7 and No. 14 draft picks and the No. 34 and No. 40 picks in the second round.

Here is a quick look at the six players who worked out at the Blazers’ Tualatin practice facility:

POTENTIAL FIRST-ROUND PICKS

Kyle Filipowski, 6-11 forward/center, Duke: Filipowski is projected to go in the second half of the first round. He averaged 16.4 points and 8.3 rebounds last season as a sophomore. Filipowski shot 50.5% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the arc while on his way to being named first-team All-ACC.

Tristan da Silva, 6-9 forward, Colorado: The versatile wing is also projected to go off the board in the second half of the first round. He shot 49.3% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range, averaging 16.0 points and 5.1 rebounds as a senior.

POTENTIAL SECOND-ROUND PICK

Nikola Djurisic, 6-7 small forward, KK Mega Basket Belgrade: Djurisic is viewed as a mid-to-late second-round pick. He averaged 14.4 points last season with 3.4 assists. Djurisic shot just 33% on threes but reportedly performed well at the NBA combine.

Pelle Larsson, 6-5, guard, Arizona: Larsson, as a senior, put up 12.8 points with 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season for the Wildcats. He shot 51.9% from the field and 42.6% from three-point range. Could be available for the Blazers at pick No. 40.

LIKELY UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS

David Jones, 6-6 forward, Memphis: Jones averaged 21.8 points per game, shooting 45.9% from the field and 38% on threes. He was named first-team All-American Athletic Conference.

Jahmir Young, 6-1 guard, Maryland: The true point guard produced 20.4 points and 4.2 assists last season. He shot 40.4% from the field and 32.4% on threes. Named first-team All-Big Ten.
