Leyton Orient have announced the signing of striker Dom Ballard from Championship side Southampton.
The 20-year-old striker came through the academy at Southampton, where he had been since the age of nine. He made his breakthrough into the senior team in 2022 and made a handful of appearances.
He spent injury-hit loan spells at Reading and Blackpool before the second half of last season at Cambridge United. He played 17 times and scored twice in League Two.
On joining, Ballard spoke to the club website: “I’m really happy to be joining Leyton Orient on a long-term contract. I have had some very positive conversations with the gaffer and he explained the vision that the club has for its future, which really excites me.
