Tomas Soucek will not exit West Ham United having won over Julen Lopetegui at the London Stadium, according to Give Me Sport.
The outlet reported on its website on Friday (11 October) that the new Hammers boss was open to selling the Czech international this summer, but their stance on any potential departure has now changed.
Lopetegui is understood to have “come around” to the midfielder, despite initially labelling him surplus to requirements, while Soucek was never keen to exit East London ahead of the new Premier League season.
While the former Real Madrid boss remains in charge of the Irons, Soucek will not be sold in the immediate future.

In what has been an incredibly mixed start to the Premier League season and Lopetegui era at the London Stadium, Soucek has been one of the most consistent players in the Hammers’ ranks.
Every time it appears as though the midfielder is finished at West Ham, he somehow manages to breathe new life into his Irons career with impressive performances that make him undroppable week in and week out.
Tim Steidten and Lopetegui made a real effort to bolster their ranks in the middle of the park this summer with the signings of Carlos Soler and Guido Rodriguez.
While both those players have struggled to hit the ground running in the Premier League, Soucek has come flying out the blocks and shown why he was usually an everpresent under David Moyes.
Hopefully, the Czech international will maintain that form after the international break. The Hammers are a better side when he is at his best as he seems to have a habit of making players around him tick.
Whether or not he will still be viewed as an integral part of Lopetegui’s plans when next summer rolls around remains to be seen, but it would certainly come as a shock to see him depart when the window opens in the new year.
