The draw was made on Monday with the 14 Betfred Super League clubs coming into the mix and Trinity will most likely travel to Swinton Lions in the third round, so long as the Championship side overcome the winners of the first round tie between Rochdale Mayfield and Ince Rose Bridge which has had to be rearranged after being postponed last weekend.
The third round will be played on the weekend of February 7/9, a week before Super League kicks off so it will be the first serious match for the top division teams.
Other games could see Batley Bulldogs host French club Catalans Dragons if they can see off Hunslet ARLFC in their second round tie and Dewsbury Rams away to Oldham or Orrell St James if they can knock out amateurs King Cross Park or West Hull in the second round.
Holders Hull KR will have to go to Castleford Lock Lane or Brighouse to start the defence of their trophy.
