The 2025/26 season is just around the corner, and League Two looks set to be one of the more intriguing competitions in the EFL.

The further you head down the pyramid, the smaller the grounds get, which often makes for a compact, loud atmosphere unlike anything else seen in the football league.

Therefore, Football League World has asked popular AI service ChatGPT to rank the loudest stadiums in the upcoming League Two season to see who really has the upper hand when it comes to creating atmospheres in the fourth tier.

8. Wham Stadium – Accrington Stanley

We, surprisingly, kick off the list with the side who averaged the lowest attendance in League Two last season, as Accrington Stanley’s Crown Ground (or the Wham Stadium to some) comes in at number eight on ChatGPT’s list.

The AI service states that this is due to loyal local backing in a ground which can only hold 5,450. In this case, and a few others on this list, a smaller, compact crowd can really create an atmosphere.

And you can’t deny that away end for some incredible noise, with arguably the best away limbs of the 2024/25 season coming during Tranmere Rovers’ 3-3 comeback draw in April.

7. Memorial Ground – Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers are venturing into a season in League Two for the first time since the 2021/22 season, where they averaged around 7,500 in terms of attendance. If they keep around that number, they’ll automatically be among the highest in the fourth tier this season.

Also, despite relegation from League One, Bristol Rovers were still able to bring in consistent gates of 7,000+, even reaching over 8,000 and towards 9,000 towards the back end of the season, so expect something similar as the Gas now switch from a side battling near the bottom to one near the top.

Chat GPT described Harrogate’s crowd as “small but fervent,” and it’s this passion which helps ‘The Town’ remain above the drop zone season upon season.

And it reflects in their results too, having beaten promoted duo Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City at home last season.

Simon Weaver will be hoping that a solid home atmosphere can see his side remain in the EFL for a sixth straight season in 2025/26.

5. Boundary Park – Oldham Athletic

Plenty of neutrals are happy that Oldham Athletic are back in the 92, and fans of League Two clubs will be looking forward to heading back to Boundary Park this season.

For many, it was a long time coming for The Spireites back in League Two, and the excitement was reflected with the third-highest average attendance in the entire division, with 8,146 through the gate on average.

3. Meadow Lane – Notts County

From the third highest average attendance in last season’s League Two campaign to the second, Notts County places third on this list.

Tranmere is known for having an incredibly vocal Kop End, and AI describes the matchday atmosphere as “raucous.”

Last season was one to forget, finishing 20th in League Two. But if the form on the pitch can improve, this ground will once again be rocking and proving why it is ranked number two on this list.

1. Blundell Park – Grimsby Town

Blundell Park takes the crown on this list of the best atmospheres in League Two, with Grimsby fans able to sell out nearly two-thirds of their tickets each week on average.

Their total capacity ranks near the middle of the pack when compared to other fourth-tier sides, but this compact and airtight crowd makes for a truly incredible atmosphere.

Additionally, AI states that the atmosphere is always intense, even when the crowds aren’t the largest, so when they are, there aren’t any better in the fourth tier at making noise than Grimsby Town.
