According to Michael Scotto, the Utah Jazz have re-signed Micah Potter to a two-way contract.
Potter has played 3 seasons in the NBA, predominately in the G-league. He spent two seasons with the Utah Jazz and was one of the best players for the SLC Stars in those seasons. At 6’10, his ability to stretch the floor while scoring inside makes him a promising offensive talent. He also is a good rebounder and passer, making him more than a stretch 5.
Potter’s two-way deal means he will spend time with the SLC Stars again. One of the Jazz’s rookies, Kyle Filipowski, has similarities in play style to Potter. With Filipowski also likely getting minutes with the SLC Stars, Potter can be a good mentor for him. Potter is 26, meaning he probably won’t get much better than he is now, which may indicate that the Jazz value what he could do for their NBA roster, not only their G-League team.
