The Sea Eagles and the Knights have agreed to a player swap, just hours before the June 30 transfer deadline expires.
Manly playmaker Jake Arthur has been released to join the Knights, effective immediately, where he will link up with his younger brother, Matthew.
Jake played seven games for the Sea Eagles since joining the club in 2023.
Meanwhile, Manly has signed forward Paul Bryan from Newcastle.
Bryan made his NRL debut in Round 12 this season, and will be with the Sea Eagles until the end of 2026, but is set to miss the remainder of this season with injury.
Arthur and Bryan are both 22 years of age.
Reports earlier on Monday indicated the deal was likely to fall over, but it seems the two clubs have reached an agreement at the 11th hour.
However, the Sea Eagles weren’t so fortunate when it came to Knights forward Jack Hetherington.
The Sea Eagles showed interest in the 29-year-old enforcer, but the Knights have opted to keep him for the remainder of the season, even though they reportedly don’t plan to re-sign him.
