Stoke City have agreed a deadline day swoop for Ato Ampah, according to a report.
Fabrizio Romano says the Potters have struck a deal with Chelsea for what would be a permanent transfer.
He says a medical has been booked for today, with the transfer package worth up to £3million which would see Chelsea retain a ‘heavy sell-on clause’.
Ampah would likely be registered as an Under-21 player, with the move for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi expected to take Mark Robins’ squad up to the 25-man maximum.
The 19-year-old was born in Ghana but joined the Chelsea academy at the age of ten. He has progressed through the ranks and signed a professional contract in April 2023.
He has played for England at Under-18 and U-20 level and has made one senior appearance for the Blues, when he played the second half in the UEFA Conference League win over Astana in December 2024.
