A South Sydney Rabbitohs player has been charged after an alleged domestic violence-related assault earlier this year, police have confirmed.
New South Wales Police launched an investigation on Monday after a woman reported she had been assaulted by her partner near Homebush in April 2025.
Following inquiries, Tyrone Munro was arrested and taken to Auburn police station.
NSW Police confirmed a 20-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (domestic), stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), common assault (domestic).
In a statement on Tuesday, the South Sydney Rabbitohs said the club was aware of the alleged incident and police charges.
“The club has informed the NRL Integrity Unit about the alleged incident and the charges.
“The Rabbitohs take all allegations of domestic violence very seriously and will take appropriate action if the allegations and charges are proven.
“As this is a police matter, the Rabbitohs will be making no further comment at this stage,” the statement said.
Munro was granted conditional bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on October 30.
