Portsmouth have agreed a fee of £1.2m for Hungarian midfielder Márk Kosznovszky, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old, who plays for MTK Budapest, has caught the eyes of clubs across Europe after impressing for club and country in the last 12 months.
Portsmouth have been chasing Kosznovszky all summer and they have now agreed a fee with MTK for the player and are set for talks with the midfielder.
The Hungary Under-21 international scored three goals and provided five assists in 30 games last season.

It was exclusively revealed by Football Insider that Portsmouth had made a bid for Kosznovszky, and they now have beaten Championship rivals Swansea to his signature.

Pompey finished 16th in the Championship last season, five points above the relegation zone in their first season back in the second tier for the first time in 12 years.
The club had a formidable home record, winning 15 of their 23 games at Fratton Park, and it is their torrid away form which needs to be addressed this forthcoming campaign.
Mousinho has already bolstered his midfield with the signing of free agent John Swift and added striker Adrian Segecic to his strike force.
Mousinho upgrading midfield options
Following a successful first season back in the Championship and managing to stay up, Mousinho is aware the division will get tougher next season.
The arrival of the three club’s relegated from the Premier League and the arrival of Birmingham City, Wrexham and Charlton from League One means staying up could be just as tight next season.
Portsmouth’s issue was defensively as they conceded 71 goals in 46 games whilst they scored 58 goals across the campaign.
Mousinho has though had to target midfield additions in this window following the end of loan spells for Freddie Potts and Isaac Hayden, leaving them light in the middle of the park.
Potts returning to West Ham is a big blow for Mousinho and he has been looking at Reading midfielder Charlie Savage as exclusively revealed by Football Insider last month.
The 21-year-old’s performances convinced West Ham to give him a new four and a half year contract, and the club want to bring him back for another season.
