Rhys Hoskins is looking for a new team now that the Philadelphia Phillies are moving on from him, and he may find it on the West Coast.
The Seattle Mariners have shown interest in Hoskins, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Morosi noted that the Mariners may have a geographic advantage, as Hoskins was born in Sacramento, Ca.
The Mariners would certainly qualify in that department. Hoskins could DH or split time with regular first baseman Ty France. Their need for power is even more acute after a cost-cutting trade they made earlier in the offseason.
