Another thrilling weekend of Championship football awaits, with the two London sides in action against each other this weekend. QPR host Millwall at Loftus Road as both teams bid to pick up their second win of the campaign.
The Championship table is now beginning to take shape, albeit almost all situations are reversable in the wide open second tier up until at least halfway through the campaign. As QPR and Millwall look to pick up on steady starts, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding the Championship.
Neil Harris has told his side they must find ‘balance’ during Saturday’s London derby with QPR after a start that has seen them pick up four points so far. “We have, bar small spells in games, played with real quality in games and shown good moments of football and creativity. That’s what we need. We need that reliability,” he said.
“We’ve been able to get two clean sheets and we showed quality for the majority of the game against Luton. We need that reliability as well, and that’s the balance that’s needed in this one.”
QPR boost
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes has confirmed that midfielder Jack Colbac will be ready to play on Saturday despite picking up a knock against Sheffield Wednesday that kept him out of the Carabao Cup clash with Crystal Palace during the week.
“He got a feeling against Sheffield, a knock on his shoulder,” said Cifuentes. “So he was feeling a bit in pain and we felt the best (thing) was to give him proper treatment so he is ready for Saturday.”
