The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed two veterans to its roster ahead of NBA training camp. Last week, Minnesota signed guard Chasson Randle to an Exhibit 10 deal.

It’s essentially a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with an invite to training camp and a chance he can earn a spot on the final roster. NBA insider Michael Scotto reports on Monday that the Wolves are signing guard Skylar Mays and wing Eugene Omoruyi.

Details of the deals haven’t been confirmed but it’s presumed they will be Exhibit 10 deals like Randle’s.

Mays, 27, has spent four seasons in the NBA and played for the Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers. Last season, Mays played in 17 games for the Lakers and 21 games for the Trail Blazers.z

In his career, he’s averaged 4.3 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per 10.6 minutes played in 105 games. The 6-foot-4 combo guard was a second-round pick out of LSU in the 2020 NBA Draft. Omoruyi, also 27, has spent three seasons in the league with the Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons and most recently the Washington Wizards.

Last season with Washington, the wing player averaged 4.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.6 steals per game in 43 games, the most he’s played in a season. He averaged 9.1 minutes played per games in 2023-24. Over three seasons, he’s appeared in 87 games.

Minnesota is at 20 players on its roster after the two new additions and they could add one more which would put them at the training camp maximum.
