Luka Doncic Has Already Etched His Name In The Franchise Record Books With Some Shooting Display In Less Than 25 Matches

When the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, fans were left reeling.

The decision to swap a young franchise cornerstone for an established but injury-prone veteran (Anthony Davis) seemed questionable at best, catastrophic at worst.

Now, less than 25 games into his Lakers tenure, Doncic has already etched his name in the franchise record books with a shooting display that’s turning heads across the NBA.

“Luka Doncic just had the most [3-pointers made] in a single month in Lakers franchise history (64),” StatMamba wrote on X.

Doncic hasn’t just been launching from deep, he’s been filling the stat sheet in every area.

Averaging 27.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game in 22 contests, Doncic has become the engine driving the Lakers’ success.

His shooting splits — 41.5 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from beyond the arc — have helped transform what many saw as a volatile situation in L.A. into legitimate championship contention.

Meanwhile, the contrast with the Mavericks grows more pronounced with each passing game.

Doncic has provided exactly the spark the Lakers needed to vault into the Western Conference’s elite tier.

Positioned well for the stretch run, they face a crucial test against the Golden State Warriors.

The stakes are high, as finishing among the top six teams in the conference means avoiding the pressure cooker of the play-in tournament.

With the Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves in the mix, maintaining their position is essential for the Lakers.
