Ipswich Town need everyone they can get in the fight for promotion from the Championship this season. McKenna and co face an uphill battle to break into the top two, with Hull City and Millwall also in hot pursuit while Coventry City falter.
Of the three currently sidelined, Philogene is the standout. The left winger has 10 goals and two assists in 26 games across all competitions but has been out since withdrawing from the win over Blackburn Rovers almost a month ago.
Chilean star Nunez last played in the Bristol City win just days after the Rovers game. He had been operating in attacking midfield but with Anis Mehmeti and Dan Neil on the books, competition for his place has ramped up.
As for Burns, he has been back in the fray since his return from an ACL injury on Boxing Day. Given his long spell out, ITFC will want to be cautious with any potential issues.
Who could get Ipswich Town starting opportunities at Wrexham?
Ipswich Town have the depth in their squad to rotate the side against Wrexham and stay very strong. They did so in their win over Blackpool in the third round, and will likely field a similar tea,.
Defenders Jacob Greaves and Ben Johnson will likely get a look in. Earlier mentioned midfielder Neil could make a first start, perhaps alongside Jens Cajuste.
Kasey McAteer and Sindre Walle Egeli will hope for starting opportunities. Expect Chuba Akpom and Ivan Azon to play a part in the attack as well.
McKenna will be eager to see these players take the chance to stake their claim for a Championship starting berth. Winning against a play-off chasing Wrexham who have a deep squad of their own will help ITFC maintain momentum in this high-pressure stage of the season.
