NASCAR Xfinity Series after signing with DGM Racing for the 2025 season. Ellis will race a full Xfinity schedule next season and is expected to make his debut at the 2025 season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway with the family-owned racing team that is based out of Lake Wells, Florida.
DGM Racing was founded in 1990 as a local hobby racing squad by Mario Gosselin. Gosselin and DGM Racing competed in ARCA, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Xfinity Series. This season, DGM Racing fields a pair of Xfinity Series cars.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to our family and looking forward to advancing our Xfinity program together,” said Mario Gosselin, team owner of DGM Racing in a press release. “Solidifying next year’s season this early on is huge for our small team.
Having the resources this soon gives us the opportunity to upgrade some of our equipment and start preparing in a way we have been unable to in prior seasons, which I believe will result in our best on track performance.” Ellis began his racing career in karting at the age of four before moving up to stock cars while showing off his talents behind the wheel in numerous regional and national touring series. He has spent the last three seasons with Alpha Prime Racing and drove in 71 Xfinity Series races, topping out with a pair of 11th-place finishes.
After 30 races this season, he is ranked 23rd in the Xfinity Series drivers’ standings. The Ashburn, Virginia native made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2014 with FDNY Racing.
For 2014 and 2015 he drove for various teams in the Truck and Xfinity Series, and made his Cup Series debut in the NASCAR Cup Series with Circle Sport.
The third-generation racer has made 128 Xfinity Racing Series starts, 26 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and six in the NASCAR Cup Series. For the 2025 season, Ellis brings with him more than 15 sponsors.
“Chatting with Mario about his plans for the program in 2025 convinced me that joining DGM was something I couldn’t pass up. He’s a racer, and his enthusiasm was immediately contagious,” Ellis said. “I have so much respect for what the Gosselin family has built, and I hope that we can turn some heads together next year. I’ve seen just how high the potential is at DGM, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
