SAINTS have agreed a fee with Royal Antwerp for the signing of 20 year old forward Victor Udoh ahead of the winter transfer deadline.
Left-sided Nigerian starlet Udoh has made 28 appearances for the Belgian Pro League outfit’s senior side but is yet to find the net.
The majority have been late substitute cameos, while he has only featured for Antwerp’s under-23s in the third division since December.
Saints have reached an agreement with five-time league champions Antwerp over the transfer of Udoh, who is viewed initially as an academy signing.
Fabrizio Romano first reported the deal as in advanced stages and Saints hope to agree terms with the player ahead of the deadline.
It is not known whether Saints would look to conclude an immediate loan deal for the youngster should they secure his signature on Monday.
Udoh could also represent the club’s under-21s in Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup with all to play for in both competitions.
Udoh netted 12 goals in 21 matches for Antwerp’s junior team in the third tier of during the 2023/24 season, before being promoted to the first team.
He moved to Belgium from his native Nigeria, where he played with Hypebuzz Academy Abuja, when he was 18 years old.
Sport Republic sister club Goztepe signed key starting midfielder Anthony Dennis, 20, from HB Academy at the same time Udoh joined Antwerp.
