The Parramatta Eels are pleased to confirm the contract extensions for NRLW squad members Rueben Cherrington, Rory Owen and Fleur Ginn through the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Kiana Takairangi has also been offered a supplementary contract for the 2026 season.
Parramatta Eels Head of Football Mark O’Neill said the Club was thrilled to secure the group’s ongoing commitment.
“We’re delighted that Rueben, Rory, Fleur and Kiana have chosen to re-sign with the Club and continue playing alongside their teammates in the Blue and Gold. They’ve all shown tremendous growth and commitment to our program, and we’re excited about what they will bring in the future,” O’Neill said.
Rueben Cherrington has earned her extension following an outstanding 2025 campaign, establishing herself as a key figure in the forward pack. Known for her defensive strength and consistency at dummy half, she is on track to bring up her 25th appearance in Blue and Gold in 2026.
Rory Owen continues to develop as a composed and creative playmaker, playing an important role in shaping the Eels’ attack. The club’s 2024 Rookie of the Year has scored seven tries across her first two seasons and remains a key part of the side’s future.
Fleur Ginn has been rewarded for her versatility and reliability, providing value across multiple positions in the squad. In her debut NRLW season in 2025, she featured in all 11 games and will be aiming to further elevate her performance in the year ahead.
Kiana Takairangi has accepted a supplementary contract for 2026 and will add speed and finishing ability to the backline. She made her Eels debut late in the 2025 season, scoring three tries in just two appearances and showcasing her attacking threat.
All four players have represented at international level and bring valuable experience to the squad.
Their 2026 NRLW campaign kicks off with a Round 1 home clash against the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium on July 5, 2026.
