COVENTRY City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has withdrawn from the Ghana squad due to injury.
Thomas-Asante had received a call up to the Black Stars squad for international friendly matches against Austria and Germany.
However, he has now withdrawn from the squad after picking up a knock in Coventry’s recent victory at Swansea City.
Thomas-Asante opened the scoring for the Sky Blues from the penalty spot at the Swansea.com Stadium.
However, he was later withdrawn on 62 minutes and replaced by midfielder Josh Eccles.
The extent of Thomas-Asante’s injury is not yet known.
Both he and Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams pulled out of the squad with Hamburg’s Ransford Königsdörffer called up as a replacement.
Ghana play Austria on Friday, March 27 and then take on Germany on Monday, March 30.
