Coventry City have recalled development striker Justin Obikwu from his season-long loan spell at Lincoln City.
The 21-year-old had made just four league starts and 13 substitute appearances for the Imps who are riding high in second place in League One.
Obikwu scored three goals but has been unable to establish himself as a regular starter at Sincil Bank in his second loan club of his young career, having previously had two spells at Grimsby Town.
It’s unlikely that the centre-forward has been recalled to be part of Frank Lampard’s first team squad and therefore more likely that the Sky Blues Academy graduate is redirected out to another club either on loan or a permanent transfer.
