Leeds United, Southampton and Watford are in the picture to sign Paris FC’s Ilan Kebbal in the summer.
The winger initially joined the Ligue 1 side on loan from Stade de Reims in September 2022 and completed a permanent move a year later.
At Paris FC, he’s mainly operated as an attacking midfielder and a winger, managing 25 goals and 30 assists from 125 matches. In 2024, Sport Witness relayed news of the Whites’ approach to sign him but a move never took shape.
Daniel Farke’s side have rekindled their interest while Southampton and Watford now join the transfer chase.
The Algeria international has scored eight goals and contributed five assists from 25 matches this season. That makes 13 goal contributions in 25 matches, an impressive return.
His Ligue 1 stats this season are as follows:
Appearances: 23
Starts: 23
Expected Goals: 5.63
Expected Assists: 4.77
Big chances created: 6
Key passes per game: 2.0
Goal conversion: 16%
Leeds United, Southampton and Watford in mix
Ilan Kebbal’s performances for Paris FC haven’t gone unnoticed in France and England.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who cover Leeds United, Southampton and Watford when reporting the latest on Marseille.
The Ligue 1 side had looked at him in the previous windows and have continued to keep a close watch. As of now, Marseille are in pole position ahead of the Premier League side, the Championship duo and Stade Rennais.
Stade Rennais have expressed interest in the 27-year-old, who is also attracting interest from the Whites, Southampton and the Hornets.
The three English clubs haven’t made an official approach yet but could make moves as we get closer to the summer window.
Kebbal is open to changing clubs after this season and is looking for an ambitious sporting project. This would give Marseille an advantage over other clubs, also because he isn’t opposed to joining another French club.
However, a ‘significant financial offer’ from Leeds United, Southampton or Watford could change the dynamics.
Ilan Kebbal contract, value and agent info
In October 2024, Ilan Kebbal extended his contract until 2028. Transfermarkt value him at €12m, the highest so far in his career.
French agency Play Eleven, owned by Pierre Issa, is representing the Paris FC player. They currently manage 13 players and three of them are in the top division.
