Luke Fickell and the Badgers have landed their second commitment, and their first wide receiver, for the 2026 class. Three-star prospect Tayshon Bardo announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Tuesday.
Wisconsin secures commitment from top receiver Tayshon Bardo
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver is the No.1 overall rated receiver from the state of Indiana and the 103rd ranked receiver in the country overall according to 247Sports. Wisconsin beat out Indiana, Michigan State and several others on their way to securing the talented prospect. He will take his official visit to Madison this summer in June.
After moving away from quarterback Jarin Mock, the Badgers were left with just one 2026 commit, offensive lineman Benjamin Novak, before Bardo’s announcement. Things should pick up quickly, but after a slow start for Fickell, Bardo is a huge get in a state that is turning into a quality pipeline. Both Novak and Bardo hail from Indiana, as do 2025 recruits Nizyi Davis and Eugene Hilton.
Wisconsin can now turn their focus to spring practices, which are set to kick off this week. As official visits start to take place, more commitments for the 2026 should follow throughout the spring and into the summer as Fickell and company look to build another top-25 class.
