Wests Tigers winger Charlie Staines has joined Catalans Dragons from 2026 on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old has made 38 appearances for Wests since joining the club ahead of the 2023 NRL season, scoring 16 tries.
But Staines made his name with boyhood club Penrith Panthers, registering 23 tries in 39 appearances and winning the 2022 NRL Grand Final.
Staines joins a long list of quality swelling the Dragons’ ranks from 2026, with Gold Coast Titans halfback Toby Sexton, Wests teammate Solomona Faataape, Dolphins’ Josh Allen and Salford Red Devils forward Harvey Wilson signing for the French club.
Staines said: “It’s certainly an exciting development for myself and the family.
“Speaking to Catalans, I believe they are working towards setting the club up for a better future and I am excited about being a key part of it, I look forward to taking on this new challenge with the Catalans Dragons.”
