Payton will not play in tonight’s game against Oklahoma City and will be re-evaluated over the weekend.”
This is a major injury update from the team, and a very positive one, all things considered. While Payton has been ruled out of Saturday night’s game vs. OKC, a revaluation over the weekend means a return may not be too far down the line. With X-ray and MRI results both being encouraging, it seems that Payton has avoided a major injury.
