About a week and a half before the NBA regular season begins, Golden State Warriors supporters are excited to see what Chris Paul will look like on their squad.
It was an odd move for the Warriors to get him since they had to trade away Jordan Poole, a crucial player on their championship team from 2022, in order to obtain the 38-year-old future Hall of Famer.
The decision has been questioned by many, but Paul is unconcerned about whether it will succeed since, as he said, he has transferred clubs previously through Warriors on NBCS.
Paul actually played his first 12 professional seasons with the New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers, but he has subsequently played for four other organizations, including the Warriors right now.
The issue with his fit is that Golden State has always been a fast-breaking team that makes extensive use of ball and player movement in its set offense, but he has always preferred to slow down the tempo and handle the ball for the most of the shot clock.

At the same time, if everything goes well, it could be a cooperative relationship where Paul, who is playing less minutes and carrying a lighter burden than Stephen Curry, 35, may assist in lightening Curry’s load.
Another important factor for the Warriors to consider is Paul’s recent significant fall in scoring statistics, both in terms of points and shooting %.
He has yet to get his first NBA championship ring, and considering the age of their squad, this could be the Warriors’ final opportunity to win another one.
