The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to add depth and competition with the start of training camp less than two weeks away.
Thursday, the club reportedly signed Jaedon LeDee to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
The 25-year-old is coming off a season in which he was named the top collegiate power forward in the country after averaging 21.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game for San Diego State.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward also spent the Summer League with the Wolves, averaging 2.6 points and 2 rebounds per game in just 9.8 minutes of action per game. He’s the fourth player the Wolves have signed to a non-guaranteed deal in the past week-and-a-half.
An Exhibit 10 contract is basically just a one-year, non-guaranteed training camp deal that allows the team to either convert the player’s contract to a two-way deal – which seems a bit unlikely for the Wolves since all of their two-way spots are currently occupied, unless that changes – or help retain the player on the team’s G League affiliate.
Exhibit 10 contracts can give players bonuses of up to around $78,000 for the upcoming season if they are waived and spend at least 60 days with that team’s G League affiliate. It’s unclear if LeDee’s deal actually has a bonus like that but, either way, it’s a chance for the Wolves to get a more extended look at him and see if he could be another possible developmental success story for an organization that has suddenly excelled in player development.
Timberwolves training camp is scheduled to start on Oct. 1 with the preseason starting on Oct. 4.
