Knight has been officially released. The Knicks have also inked Exhibit 10 contracts with free agents Mamadi Diakite and Brandon Goodwin. Today, 20 players are under contract with New York.
According to league sources and Fred Katz of The Athletic (Twitter link), the Knicks have waived center Nathan Knight.

Knight was given a two-way deal, and New York just released Jaylen Martin, so the club now has two available two-way positions, as Katz points out.
After going undrafted in 2020, Knight, a standout at William & Mary in college, has participated in 108 NBA games over the last three seasons. He played with the Timberwolves for the previous two seasons after spending his debut season with the Hawks on a two-way contract.
Knight was eligible for a minimum-salary club option from the Wolves for the 2023–24 season, but they declined it and decided not to extend him a qualifying offer, therefore on July 1, he became an unrestricted free agency. A few weeks later, he committed to the Knicks on a two-way contract.
The forward/center, who is 26 years old, has averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game during his career.
