Swindon Town assistant manager Marcus Bignot, head of goalkeeping Steve Mildenhall and first-team pathways coach Gavin Gunning have all agreed new deals with the club.
The trio will remain part of Ian Holloway’s staff after the Robins manager committed his own future to the club in March until the end of the 2027-28 season.
They have helped lift Swindon up to 13th in League Two ahead of Saturday’s final game of the season against MK Dons, after sitting three points above the relegation zone when Holloway arrived last October.
“My staff have been brilliant since I arrived, particularly because I only knew Marcus Bignot before, having signed him three times as a manager,” Holloway told the club website., external
“However, his attention to detail, coaching ethic and work rate are needed for the team that I want us to become as we move into next season and the position I believe we should be looking at in the table next season.”
Holloway also praised the “excellent” contributions of Mildenhall, who he called “an outstanding advocate for the club” and Gunning, who he added “has been brilliant with the development of our young players”.
