Southampton are reportedly keeping tabs on Motherwell wonderkid Lennon Miller.

The teenage midfielder, 18, has emerged as one of the best young prospects in Scottish football since making his Well debut aged just 16. Miller has become Stuart Kettlewell’s main man at Fir Park and even led the Steelmen out at Hampden after being handed the captain’s armband in Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final defeat to Rangers.

The generational talent is under contract until 2026 but his standout performances have alerted a number of clubs across Europe. The Daily Record reports that Sport Republic, who own Southampton, French club Valenciennes and Turkish side Goztepe, have been scouting the youngster.

And while Well won’t stand in his way should clubs come to the table with offers, the Premiership side will demand a club-record fee eclipsing David Turnbull’s £3million move to Celtic in 2020.
