YOUNG Saints defender Jayden Moore has joined National League Eastleigh on loan until the end of the season.
Moore, 19, heads out on loan for the first time to gain valuable first-team exposure and help the Spitfires amid a defensive crisis.
Eastleigh boss Richard Hill had feared that his side would only have one centre-back for Tuesday’s league clash with Sutton United.
Yet Moore’s arrival at the Silverlake Stadium will help Eastleigh navigate a series of injuries and international call-ups in defence.
Moore has made 14 appearances for the Under-21s this season, and sat on the bench for the final game of the 2024/25 Premier League season against Arsenal.
A statement from Saints added: “We wish Jayden the best for his time out on loan and look forward to monitoring his progress.”
Moore is the latest Saints academy product to join the Spitfires on loan, following Sonnie Davis, Will Merry and Jake Vokins in recent seasons.
He joins an Eastleigh side currently five points clear of the relegation zone with seven games to go in the National League season.
