According to reports, the Knicks want to bring back Duane Washington Jr. to replace their vacant two-way position (Twitter link). On Saturday, the 23-year-old combo guard and three other players were released.
On Saturday, New York changed Dylan Windler’s two-way contract into a normal one, leaving the opening. The club will have a full roster with 15 conventional deals and all three of its two-way berths filled once Washington has completed waivers and is re-signed.

Washington signed a two-way deal with the Knicks in late February, but he didn’t play in any games. He was released in July and five days later re-signed to a non-guaranteed training camp contract.
After graduating from Ohio State in 2021 and going undrafted, Washington spent time with the Pacers and Suns. In 79 career games, he has had averages of 9.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
