Brian Dutton thanked all the players leaving the club for their efforts whilst at the Ray Mac, “Thankyou to all the departing players for their efforts whilst at the club without their commitment and passion we wouldn’t have achieved our goal this season, the likes of Sido, Leggy and Fitch deserve a special mention as they have been on the journey since the beginning, through the playoffs and helping the club retain its National League South status.
“The conclusion of this season has allowed myself and the management team time to reflect and plan for next season. We feel very confident about the type of team and players required to be successful in this unrelenting division. Knowing what’s required and acquiring the players can seem along way apart but rest assured the management team are working around the clock to bring the right players to the club but expect this to be a slow and gradual process.
“Next season will undoubtedly have a fresh, exciting, look and feel to it with over two thirds of the players being new recruits. The League will be as difficult as it has ever been with three National League clubs coming down and the strength and wealth of the teams promoted into the division, not to mention half the division being full time or hybrid.
“The challenge is huge but we’re looking forward to putting together a team that the City of Salisbury can be proud of, hopefully, we can introduce the new squad to the fans during pre-season which will give the players the chance to understand why choosing Salisbury was such a good decision.
“Everyone enjoy your break from football and recharge your batteries because we’re going to need everyone’s full support for next season as we look to make it another memorable one.
