On October 12th, the Phoenix Suns play the Portland Trailblazers in their third preseason game. Of course, Deandre Ayton playing against his previous squad is the main focus of this game.
The “Ayton Revenge Game” will be the name given to this matchup, but a new Sun joining the rotation may steal the stage. Jordan Goodwin participated fully in today’s practice.
There isn’t a seasoned “true” point guard on the Suns’ roster. Goodwin is entering his third NBA season and first with the Suns, so he doesn’t have much experience, but he might fill that position for the team.

Goodwin started at Saint Louis University for four years.
Goodwin averaged 12.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.5 rebounds per game in his four years at Saint Louis. He made 27% of his three-point attempts and 42% of his field goals.

He played with the Washington Wizards throughout his first two NBA seasons. The Illinois native played sparingly his first season. In 62 games during his second season, he averaged 6.6 points and shot 44% from the field.
