It was a domino effect for Notre Dame football 2026 wide receiver recruiting on Monday, with two prospects narrowing down their lists.
The bad news comes from Oklahoma’s Mason James, who cut his list down to five schools, with the Irish not being present. Notre Dame offered the 5-foot, 11-inch and 170-pounder in February, and even hosted his for a visit during the spring. It wasn’t enough to push him to highly consider playing in South Bend.
However, one of positive side for the Irish, Texas’ Jordan Clay included them in his top-10, but will still have some work to do to move up his list. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 200-pound receiver has multiple official visits scheduled, but one isn’t currently to see Notre Dame.
The Irish have a pair of commits at the position in the class already in Dylan Faison and Bubba Frazier, but are looking to add at least one, and possibly two more, in the cycle.
