According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Nathan Knight will sign a two-way deal with the Celtics.
The Knicks released the big guy, who was 26 years old, on Thursday. Although he signed a two-way contract with New York in July, he was unable to secure a position on the roster.

Knight, who is 6’10”, will provide another big body to a Celtics frontcourt that is lacking depth. Last season, he played in 38 games for Minnesota, averaging 7.7 minutes per night, 3.7 points, and 1.5 rebounds. Knight became an unrestricted free agent when the Timberwolves refused to exercise their club option on him for the next season and failed to provide a qualifying offer.
JD Davison, Neemias Queta, and Jay Scrubb now occupy all three of the Celtics’ two-way spots, but Scrubb tore his anterior cruciate ligament earlier this month.
