Miami Heat In-Form Deadline Day Trade Acquisition Listed As Questionable For The Clash Against Detroit Pistons

The Miami Heat will go head to head against Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, March 19 at the Kaseya Center. The talking point from Heat’s perspective would be whether their star player Andrew Wiggins would start against Pistons or not.

Andrew Wiggins has been an integral part for the Heat’s since he joined them before the trade deadline. He has been averaging 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists for his new team. He has been one of the key acquisitions for the Heat after Jimmy Butler’s ouster.

Wiggins has been listed as questionable for the clash against Detroit Pistons as he is dealing with a lower left leg contusion. This same issue has kept Wiggins from featuring against New York Knicks on Monday. The Heat’s 116-95 loss to the Knicks was their eighth consecutive loss of the season.

The other players who are also deemed as questionable for the Miami Heat are Alec Burks, who is dealing with a strain in his lower back. Meanwhile, Dru Smith (left Achilles) has been ruled out of the remaining season and Nikola Jovic (hand) remained sidelined.

The Miami Heat’s are currently placed tenth in the Eastern Conference and have a record of 29-39. They have a very slim chance of making it to the playoffs as Toronto Raptors (24-45) are at a considerable distance from them. As Andrew Wiggins is starting his career with the Miami Heat, he has already notched up a record that was previously pulled off by a former South Beach superstar.

Wiggins has scored the most number of points in the first 10 games for the Miami Heat’s franchise since LeBron James pulled off the heist in 2010. In the first 10 games for the Heat, Wiggins has scored 193 points. This is the most number of points scored by a player in the first 10 games since James amassed 223 points at the start of the 2010-11 season.
