Mavericks Sign Wing Player To Deal

After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Moore hooked on with the Mavericks G League club, the Texas Legends. And in his single season in the G-League, Moore shined.

The former Cougar averaged 13.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. And apart from the counting metrics, Moore performed with tremendous efficiency. He shot 49.3 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from distance.

Following his excellent rookie year in the G League, he suited up for Dallas during the Summer League. And despite Moore’s lack of draft status, he once again made his way into the rotation.

Moore only played in roughly seventeen minutes each game, but made the most of time. He averaged 7.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Additionally, the athletic wing shot 60 percent from the field.

Now with Moore in the fold, he’ll likely duke it out with Greg Brown III and Dexter Dennis for the remaining two-way contract places since AJ Lawson is the only Ma on a two-way deal after Mike Miles Jr. was released.

It’s clearly appearing like the Mavs are pursuing wing depth after breaking connections with both undrafted free agency guards, Miles Jr. and Jordan “Jelly” Walker.
