ThePittsburgh Steelers will likely look to draft a quarterback at some point in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to Steelers insider Gerry Dulac. That quarterback will likely come on day three, and they should avoid players like Jalen Milroe, who is projected to be a day two pick.
“I don’t expect it, to be honest. But I do think it’s likely they take one in Day 3,” Dulac said when asked if the team would take a quarterback on day two earlier.
That would leave the Steelers with a few interesting options, the biggest among them being Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough. Shough has flown up boards in recent weeks after a strong performance at the Senior Bowl, but the range for him goes from the third round to early on day three.
When getting into the early day three crop, that could also include Ohio State’s Will Howard, Syracuse’s Kyle McCord, and Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard. All of those players could intrigue the Steelers to some degree with one of their late day three picks.
