Guard Brandon Randolph has joined the Hawks, the organization said in a news statement today.
The team withheld information on the deal, but according to Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks, it is a non-guaranteed training camp contract. As with other camp agreements, it probably contains wording from Exhibit 10.
Randolph, who left Arizona undrafted in 2019, has played the most of the past few seasons in the G League. He averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 27.7 minutes per game last season while playing for the Wisconsin Herd and Austin Spurs, producing a respectable shooting line of.505/.351/.788.
The G League affiliate of Atlanta, the College Park Skyhawks, purchased Randolph’s rights from Austin in August. It is clear from that agreement and the contract he made today that the Skyhawks want to add him to their team as a returning rights player this fall.
19 players are currently under contract with Atlanta, two less than the preseason maximum.
