Georgia football is slowly but surely picking up steam on the recruiting trail. No the Bulldogs haven’t earned a commitment since losing one of their top commits last weekend to Miami (FL), but Georgia has received the next best news with multiple recruits.
That news is an official prediction from a recruiting expert for UGA to land a player.
Earlier this week, Georgia was predicted to land the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the country, but that isn’t the only player Georgia has been predicted to land this week.
4-star safety Kealan Jones
Kaelan Jones is a four-star safety from Marietta, GA. According to Rivals, he is the No. 29 safety in the country and the No. 46 overall player from Georgia as well.
Jones is someone that UGA has been after for some time now, and it appears Kirby Smart’s efforts could be close to being rewarded as Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman has logged an official prediction for the Bulldogs to land the talented in-state safety.
But to make this prediction even better, Spiegelman shared that Jones is “set to come off the board this week.” Since the week is over, that means there is only one time where Jones could commit for it to be considered this week. G-Day.

Georgia’s annual G-Day takes place this Saturday and it will once again mark the end of Georgia’s spring pratices. This event also is historically a massive recruiting weekend as Smart and his staff always bring in a large amount of recruits as well. While Spiegelman did not confirm this, it seems like the most likely outcome is that Jones will be in attendance for G-Day and that he will commit during this trip.
Time will tell if that is what ends up happening or not, but if so then Georgia fans should feel very good coming out of this weekend.
