Frank Lampard has named new signing Jamie Paterson in his match day squad on a day when he has made three changes to his Coventry City side to face Sheffield Wednesday in today’s Championship clash at Hillsborough.
The 33-year-old forward is named on the bench after joining his hometown club as a free agent on Friday, offering an exciting attacking option later in the game along with fellow forward thinking subs Ephron Mason-Clark and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto.
Oliver Dovin continues in goal while Joel Latibeaudiere comes back into the back three in place of Luis Binks, with Bobby Thomas and Liam Kitching taking up the other two positions.
Milan van Ewijk is once again deployed at right wing-back with Jay Dasilva continuing on the left ahead of fit-again Jake Bidwell, who is on the bench. Josh Eccles is another change, the home-grown talent coming into a three man midfield along with Matt Grimes and Jack Rudoni.
That leaves Brandon Thomas-Asante as the third change, returning to the starting line-up to partner Ellis Simms in a 3-5-2 formation against the Owls.
