FC Halifax Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Cody Johnson following his release from Stockport County.
Having come through the academy at Stockport County, Johnson signed his first professional deal with the club in 2022. Prior to this, Johnson was named man of the match in an FA Trophy fixture against Cheshunt. In 2021, the midfielder joined Stockport Town on loan in the North West Counties League Division One South.

In January 2023, the midfielder joined Banbury United in the National League North where he made 19 appearances as The Puritans finished 17th. The following season, Johnson joined National League North side Scarborough Athletic for the final two months of the season. Last season, the midfielder joined King’s Lynn Town on loan until January, which was then extended through to the end of the season. Johnson made 38 appearances in the league as the Linnets finished 6th in the National League North.
