A source has verified to The Oregonian/OregonLive that center Duop Reath has been signed by the Portland Trail Blazers to a two-way deal.
The story was first broken by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Reath averaged 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game over the course of four preseason games.
The 6′ 9″ Reath participated in the Blazers’ summer league. He also participated in the FIBA World Cup for Australia, where he had averages of 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Prior to being overlooked by the NBA, Reath averaged 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds as a senior at LSU in 2017–18. This resulted in professional assignments in China and Serbia.
Reath may begin this campaign with the Blazers’ new G League squad, the Rip City Remix.
