Duke Sports Information – On Thursday, Duke football announced the addition of influencer and content creator Rachel DeMita as its new in-venue videoboard and social media gameday host.
DeMita’s energy and vast knowledge of sports will enhance the Duke gameday experience for fans both in attendance at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium and at home.
DeMita brings a wealth of knowledge from her time as the creator, host, and executive producer of Courtside Club, a digital show which features sports and pop culture commentary and interviews with top athletes, celebrities, and social media stars. In just two years, Courtside Club has reached more than 100 million viewers across platforms. This summer, DeMita joined Ice Cube’s The Big3 as a sideline reporter and commentator for CBS Sports and @X.
For over a decade DeMita has acted as a digital host for the NBA, working on multiple shows including The Rising Stars Report featuring interviews with top NBA rookies, NBA All Star Media Day Livecast, NBA In-Season Tournament coverage, the NBA Draft, Summer League, and more. Previously, DeMita created Overtime’s original series ‘Out of Breath’ where she trained alongside athletes and celebrities such as Mark Cuban and Jason Williams. She has also partnered with hosted content for NBA 2KTV, The NFL, The NCAA Men’s Final Four, The Big 12 National Championship Game, The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, Bleacher Report, DraftKings TV, and Snapchat Sports Network.
Along with the addition of DeMita, Duke will announce additional gameday enhancements over the coming weeks.
Duke’s 2024 season opener is slated for Friday, August 30 when it welcomes Elon to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
